PRESENTATION

 From May 31st to June 2nd 2017 the city of Málaga, southern Spain, will host the II International Seminar on Social Policies which has become one of the most important meeting points in the world for researchers, practitioners and policy makers in the field of social policies. In this time we are very exciting because will have with us the more prestigious academic figures on child welfare and family policy who show us different perspectives on current issues.

 In a context of profound social, economic and political changes, citizens are finding difficulties to find solutions to social problems. In this international seminar, international experts will analyze key issues related to social policies, giving special attention to field of child welfare and policy family.

  This workshop has three main objectives: Analyze the new challenges facing social policy in the XXI century, discuss more efficient management models and new research methodologies and management, and present the main trends in the field of social policies.

 PAPER SUBMISSIONS 

 Submissions are accepted, and the top ten will be presented and discussed during the seminar. Submissions should be sent in format APA VI Edition. The papers should be submitted in English.

 LOCATION 

 The seminar will be held in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Work of the University of Malaga

 Avenida Francisco Trujillo S/ N. Málaga, Spain. (Extended Campus)

 Our city, Málaga, is one of the most cosmopolitan city in Spain and has become one of the most preferred venues for all kind of congresses and conferences, both national and international. Our visitors value the warm and friendly environment of our city, which has 569,009 inhabitants (INE, 2016) and one of the most dynamics universities in Spain. One of our main aims is that this conference could be an unforgettable time of social activities, meeting new international colleagues, and creating formal and informal spaces for meaningful shared experiences. The official language of the Conference will be English, although Spanish simultaneous translation will be available for plenary sessions and some symposia. With respect to the scientific contents this conference will accept contributions in all the fields of child welfare interventions, but special attention will be paid to key priorities and concerns in the current international arena.

  

 REGISTRATION 

 All attendees need to register online from May 5th to May 25th 2017.

 Paper submissions must be sent by email in the specified format by 25th May to:

 The registration fee is €120 and includes a Certificate of Participation. All payments should be made online through website POS (Point of Sale)

  

 SCHOLARSHIPS 

 5 scholarships are available to cover the full amount of the academic registration fees. The final deadline for submitting applications is may 25th, 2017. All applications must be accompanied by the following documents:

 a) Photocopy of income tax declaration for the year 2016. In the event that an applicant is not required to declare his/her income tax and therefore does not have an income tax declaration, any other document accrediting the family’s economic situation may be submitted.

 b) Photocopy of transcript of records indicating the degree awarded and grades.

 c) Proof of socio-economic circumstances (family with three or more children, disability, unemployment, etc.)
